He was as well a chief conductor of the
Croatia Chamber Orchestra
(2012 – 2014);
Dian Tchobanov has been first conductor of the
Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra
(2004 – 2010)
and a chief conductor of State Opera Stara Zagora
(2007 – 2012).
Resident conductor of Vienna Schloss Schönbrunn Orchestra (2004 – 2012).
Since 2023 he is a guest professor in conducting in Academy of Music, Dance and Visual Arts “Prof. Asen Diamandiev” – Plovdiv Bulgaria and in East China Normal University Shanghai 2010 – 2015.
His repertoire comprehensively covers the genres of symphonic, cantata-oratorio, opera, operetta, ballet and chamber music.
